Where we started

Our story

Years ago, our founder Luis Rivera was working with two people who had the same injury. One was a professional athlete. One was a Milwaukee firefighter.

The athlete was back in six months. The firefighter was still waiting at eighteen.

The difference was access, attention, and guidance. The athlete had a team moving recovery forward. The firefighter was left to work through a system that was slow, fragmented, and hard to navigate.

So Luis became the person firefighters could call when the system stalled. He helped them find the right specialist, understand the next step, and keep recovery moving. What started as a phone number became known as “call Luis.”

In 2015, that became Ready Rebound.

Today, we bring that same standard to first responders and frontline workers across the country, helping the people who serve our communities access faster, more coordinated recovery support.

Luis Rivera

Founder / Advisor

Luis launched Ready Rebound in 2015 when he was struck by the reality that firefighters, police and other public safety workers face rigorous physical challenges on the job yet receive inefficient rehabilitation when injured. This observation came about because Luis spent the bulk of his career as a Sports Medicine trained Physical Therapist, specializing in rehabilitation at Arizona State University and his own clinics, treating pro athletes in football, baseball and golf.

Previously, Luis was the Director of Workers Compensation Business Development at Athletico in Milwaukee, Director of Physical Therapy at Peachtree Orthopaedic Clinic in Atlanta, Clinic Director and Partner at Athletico in Milwaukee and Group Director at Physiotherapy Associates in Tempe, AZ.

Luis is a recipient of the Ideadvance Grant of the Center for Technology Commercialization of the Institute for Business & Entrepreneurship at the University of Wisconsin System. He also is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.

Luis received his Bachelor of Arts Degree and Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy at Marquette University. He also holds the following designations: Athletic Trainer, Certified (ATC); Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT); and Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES).

Luis lives in Mequon with his wife, Michelle, and children. Little known fact: Luis is an avid “Star Wars” fan.

David Reeves

Chief Executive Officer

David Reeves is a Milwaukee native who spent 16 years in Silicon Valley helping run two software start-ups from an early stage. Both have achieved over 1B valuation, including an IPO with Zuora. David comes from OpenGov, where he served as President. During David’s tenure at OpenGov, they became the fastest-growing government technology company in the country and now has over 2,000 government customers in the US and a valuation of $1.8B. David has also held SVP for PTC Inc., a Boston based software company.

David serves as an investor and advisor with several VCs and start-ups in Milwaukee. David is also a Board Member of The Not-For-Profit Journey House, Executive in Residence at Marquette University’s Business School, as well as advisory roles in many other civic organizations in the city.

Jim Tarantino

President and Chief Revenue Officer

A veteran sales and business leader with 30 years of success in both corporate America and with entrepreneurial start-ups. During this time, Jim helped take several start-up companies through hyper growth, funding and eventually through IPO's and exits for over $10B in market value. Jim is well versed in all aspects of running a successful B2B and B2C sales organization and company. He has unique expertise in the areas of recruiting, training, business development, client success, sales and marketing, and most importantly in generating scalable top line revenue growth and bottom-line profitability. He is both a visionary strategic leader who can design and implement big picture sales strategies while simultaneously focusing on the day-to-day tactical battle plan. Jim is also a certified professional business coach, top selling author, and accomplished speaker.

Grant Koster

Chief Clinical Officer

Grant Koster, FACHE has been a healthcare leader for over two decades. Formally educated as a Physical Therapist and Athletic Trainer, Koster joined Athletico Physical Therapy in 2001. During his clinical and executive leadership career, Athletico had grown from 7 clinics (founder led business) to over 960 locations in 26 states. Koster served in multiple field and corporate leadership and operational roles during his tenure at Athletico. Upon exiting the business in 2022, he served as Senior Vice President of Operations, Partner, and General Manager of Athletico Physical Therapy (previously partnered with Harvest Partners & BDT Capital Partners) which served thousands of communities and millions of patient visits annually.

Throughout his career, Koster has led through acquisitions, integrations, company re-alignments and re-orgs as well as operational transformation strategies while maintaining focus and execution on empowering people, inspiring hope, and transforming lives with over 50 specialty services ranging from sport medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy, women’s health, and worker’s compensation rehab.

Koster is deeply committed to the employee experience in healthcare as well as the patient experience with a customer-centric patient journey focus. That focus is rooted in new patient acquisition, provider productivity, best practices and SOP’s operational excellence, patient outcomes, and employee engagement.

Koster is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and an alumnus of Northwestern’s Kellogg Executive Scholars Program with a concentration in leadership and management. He currently is on the Board of Directors of Highbar Physical Therapy, IncludeHealth (digital MSK company), and The Place for Children with Autism. He is also a business consultant for Essenza Health which specializes in Gynecology and Functional Medicine.

Molly Mulcahy

Chief Marketing Officer

Molly Mulcahy brings over 20 years of experience leading high-performing marketing teams across both B2B and B2C industries, with a proven track record of building purpose-driven brands and accelerating growth. She has shaped marketing strategy and driven innovation for companies ranging from $100M startups to global businesses exceeding $25B in revenue, including Unilever, Johnson Controls, Stella & Chewy’s, and most recently, Wilson Sporting Goods, where she led global marketing for racquet sports and championed emerging categories like pickleball.

Known for her ability to blend data-driven insight with creative storytelling, Molly has led brand transformations, digital acceleration, and omnichannel expansion across diverse industries. While new to healthcare, she has long been an advocate for community health access—most notably partnering with Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin to expand urgent care options for underserved families.

Molly holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a BBA from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.

Jacob Grindel

VP, Finance

Jacob brings a wealth of expertise in corporate finance and technology transformation to Ready Rebound, with years spent in private equity and venture capital-funded businesses.

Jacob is a CPA, licensed in the state of Wisconsin, and is pursuing his MBA at the University of Chicago. Jacob also holds his B.S. and M.S. in Accountancy from Case Western Reserve University.

Rob Fischer

Chief Information Officer

Rob Fischer lives in Chicago with his wife, Kelly, their two daughters, and the family dog. He brings over two decades of experience in IT, software development, security, and operations, primarily within fast-growing B2B startups.

Rob has played key leadership roles across vertical SaaS companies as they scaled into industry leaders. Most recently, he was VP of Enterprise Technology at OpenGov, where he led strategic technology initiatives, M&A due diligence and integration, the Courts product line, and the security workstream during the company’s acquisition by Cox Enterprises. Before that, Rob helped scale Relativity from a disruptive legal tech startup into a market-leading e-discovery platform. Over the years, he has launched and led DevOps, Security & Compliance, Service Desk, and Project Management functions, consistently building programs that enable growth and resilience.

At Ready Rebound, Rob is excited to build new capabilities and strengthen existing systems to help the organization continue to grow.

Outside of work, Rob is a passionate foodie, an avid cyclist, a beginner pickleball player, and a hopeful world traveler.

Tim Sharpee

Senior Vice President, Business Development

Tim joined Ready Rebound after a 30-year career in corrections and law enforcement, retiring as Captain in the Wauwatosa Police Department.

Having led Rebound Police Officer for a Day training sessions for his department, Tim joined the company after retirement because he saw firsthand the positive impact it had on his police officers and their families and he wanted to give back to an organization that was improving the lives of first responders.

Tim was the former Director of Training and Personnel, the department’s Range Master and Lead Firearms Instructor. As a 20-year veteran of the department’s Special Response Team (SWAT), he served as an Operator, Team Leader, and Team Commander.

Tim held a certified firearms instructor certification from the State of Wisconsin and has taught use of force, advanced firearms classes, active shooter response tactics, workplace violence preparedness, and tactical operations courses, including presentations at multiple domestic and international SWAT and Use of Force conferences.

In 2013 and 2015, under the direction of the U.S. State Department, Tim implemented a multi-faceted police tactical training program for the Police Department in Chisinau, Moldova. The goal was to establish an international standard of policing within the Republic of Moldova.

Tim continues to instruct for Team One Network, General Dynamics in their Ordnance and Tactical System Division and teaches in the Criminal Justice Associates Degree Program at Waukesha County Technical College.

Tim received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Law Enforcement from Minnesota State University at Mankato and has received a Certified Public Manager certification through the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Tim lives in Pewaukee with his family and enjoys the outdoor pursuits of golf, hunting and fishing.

Darren Jackson

Chairman of the Board

Darren was most recently the CEO of Advance Auto Parts from January 2008 to January 2016. He had been a member of the board of directors since 2004. Between 2001 and 2007, Darren served as Chief Financial Officer of Best Buy, a Fortune 100 company, having joined the organization in 2000. Prior to joining Best Buy, Darren began his retail career with Carson Pirie Scott in Milwaukee, holding various executive positions, including Chief Financial Officer. He then spent three years with Seattle-based Nordstrom Stores as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Darren is on the board of directors of Baird Advisors, Lacks Enterprises and Wolfspeed Inc.. Previously, he served on the boards of Fastenal Inc., Advance Auto Parts, and Marquette University. Darren’s long-time commitment and leadership in supporting education for students from a low-income background include board positions with the Cristo Rey Network, Cristo Rey Twin Cities, Wallin Education Partners, and most recently as the Founder of All-In Milwaukee.

Brian Lindstrom

Board Member

Brian Lindstrom is finance and operations leader with significant experience in executive leadership in both private equity and venture capital environments for over 20 years. His career highlights scaling private and public company software and tech enabled services businesses.

Throughout his career, he has held key leadership positions at Epic as well as CFO/COO roles in Baird, Francisco Partners, Permira, and Silver Lake sponsored portfolio companies in middle market health and HR tech.

Brian is a certified public accountant with a degree in Accounting from Bradley University, a Master of Science in Industrial Administration (MSIA) from Purdue University's Krannert School of Management, and the completion of the Advanced Management Program at the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business.

Heidi Jannenga

Board Member

As co-founder and Chief Clinical Officer of WebPT, Heidi advises on the company’s strategic direction and product innovation, while advocating for the rehab therapy profession on an international scale. She co-founded WebPT after recognizing the need for a more sophisticated industry-specific EMR platform and has since guided the company through exponential growth, while garnering national recognition. Heidi brings with her more than 15 years of experience as a physical therapist and multi-clinic site director as well as a passion for healthcare innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership.

An active member of the sports and private practice sections of the APTA, Heidi advocates for independent rehab therapy businesses, speaks as a subject-matter expert at industry conferences and events, and participates in local and national technology, entrepreneurship, and women-in-leadership seminars. In 2014, Heidi was appointed to the PT-PAC Board of Trustees. She also serves as a mentor to physical therapy students and local entrepreneurs and leverages her platform to promote the importance of diversity, company culture, and overall business acumen for private practice rehab therapy professionals. In 2015, Heidi was named the AzPTA’s Physical Therapist of the Year.

Heidi was a collegiate basketball player at the University of California, Davis, and remains a lifelong fan of the Aggies.

Dr. John Jefferies

Cardiology Advisor

Dr. John Jefferies is an internationally recognized cardiologist specializing in cardiomyopathies, heart failure, genetics, heritable disease, artificial intelligence, and rare diseases. He is a Professor in the School of Public Health at the University of Memphis. He is also the immediate past Governor of the Tennessee Chapter of the American College of Cardiology and immediate President of the American Heart Association Mid-South region. He is the team cardiologist for the Memphis Grizzlies. He is a Research Member of St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

He completed his combined pediatric and adult cardiology training at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas at the Texas Children's Hospital, and the Texas Heart Institute. He is the lead Editor of two leading textbooks in cardiology and has authored or co-authored over 300 peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters.

His research is funded by sources including the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and multiple industry partners. He received his MPH from the University of Kentucky with a major in Epidemiology. He received his MBA from the Wharton Business School of the University of Pennsylvania with a dual major in Management and Entrepreneurship & Innovation. He is actively involved in the advancement of innovative technologies including artificial intelligence in healthcare, novel strategies for healthcare provision connectivity, precision medicine, diagnosis and management of rare diseases, and patient advocacy.

He has served as a Key Opinion Leader for over 30 national and international companies. He has served on multiple Scientific Advisory Boards and is a consultant to both privately held and publicly traded companies. He is the Chief Medical Officer for Daxor Corporation.

John Orsini, CPA

Advisor

Mr. Orsini, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Northwestern Memorial HealthCare (NMHC), has proven expertise in the strategic financial management of multi-hospital health systems and brings with him more than 30 years of health care finance experience with the last 10 being a health system chief financial officer. Previously, Mr. Orsini was the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Cadence Health and upon completion of the merger, became the SVP and CFO for NMHC.

Prior to joining Cadence Health, Mr. Orsini was the CFO of Presence Health, a 12-hospital system created by the merger of Resurrection Health Care and Provena Health. During his tenure there, Mr. Orsini made significant contributions to the financial strength of the organization, including the detailed financial work around the merger of the two health care systems.

Prior to joining Presence Health, Mr. Orsini held the position of Corporate Vice President, Finance, and Treasurer for Scripps Health, a four-hospital non-profit health system in San Diego. He also served in a series of financial leadership roles with Dignity Health (formerly Catholic Healthcare West, now CommonSpirit Health), a non-profit health system consisting of 40 full-service hospitals in California, Arizona and Nevada. Mr. Orsini earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Arizona State University, Phoenix, and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. He also completed the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business Global Leadership in Healthcare program. He began his career in auditing for the Arizona Department of Health Services in 1985.
